2019 Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 Off-Road Race Release Date, Price, Redesign, & Spy Shots – The Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 is heading racing as the company has released Chad Hallway will remain competitive in the General Tire Vegas to Reno race which kicks off on Fri.
Set to be competitive in the 7300 class, the altered truck is equipped with several required safety goods which include a roll cage, two-way radios, and racing seats with safety harnesses. Colorado also provides KC HiLites racing lighting fixtures, a GPS navigation system, and a 44-gallon fuel tank which was made to stand up to the extreme conditions of desert racing.
Regardless of the changes, the truck will probably be powered by a stock 3.6-liter V6 engine which makes 308 hp (230 kW) and 275 lb-ft (373 Nm) of torque. It will probably be attached to an eight-speed automatic transmission and a four-wheel drive system. The model also features Multimatic DSSV damper technology but the system continues to be revised for racing apps.
Remarkably, GM states the truck is more than just a marketing object as it can provide as a “testbed for Chevy Performance” and suggestions at a range of prospective upgraded add-ons that may be supplied on Colorado as properly as the Colorado ZR2.
Chad Hallway looks pleased about his new truck as he remarked: “The Colorado ZR2 is one of the most capable manufacturing systems we have used as a basis for our racing program.” He included the model has “great technology, like the Multimatic DSSV dampers and the front and rear securing differentials that are vital to stock class desert racing.”
